Dr. S Davavala is a Consultant Gastroenterologist, Endoscopist and Hepatologist in Mumbai, associated with several hospitals and clinics. These include Fortis Hospital (Mulund), Godrej Memorial Hospital (Vikhroli), Sapna Health Care Centre (Ghatkopar), Jagruti Clinic (Ghatkopar) and Sanjeevani Nursing Home (Andheri East). He has also been associated with Joy Hospital in Chembur and Vedant Hospital in Thane.
Dr. Davavala has two DNB (Diplomate of the National Board) titles to his name, one in Medicine from Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai, and the other in Gastroenterology from the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology in Hyderabad. In addition he worked with the PD Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Centre in Mumbai as Clinical Associate in the Gastroenterology department from September 2011 to October 2013 and later as Associate Consultant for a couple of months at the end of 2014. In between, he completed a Fellowship in Basic and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune from January to October 2014.
Dr. S Davavala is adept in all areas of Gastroenterology. He independently performs all therapeutic endoscopies including ERCP, EUS, capsule endoscopy, oesophageal and anorectal manometry, as well as dealing with emergency cases.
